Why we built This Is My Adventure .online
Every child sees themselves as the hero of a great story — the explorer, the inventor, the dragon-tamer, the one who saves the day. We wanted to hand that story back to them, printed and bound, with their own name on the cover.
Personalised children's books usually mean a stock tale with a name swapped in. We thought children deserved better: a story that actually knows them — that their best friend is called Priya, that they will not go anywhere without the blue dinosaur, that home is a farm in Yorkshire and the best days smell of rain and toast.
So we built a gentle interview for grown-ups. You tell us about the child you love; our storyteller turns those real details into an original adventure, illustrated just for them and pitched perfectly at their age. Then we print it as a bright hardback that gets read until it falls apart — the best fate a book can hope for.

We're a small team of storytellers, illustrators and engineers who grew up with our noses in adventure books. Between us we've read the same bedtime stories a thousand times and become quietly convinced that a child's own adventure, printed and kept, is about the most joyful thing software can help make.

Privacy & cookie policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
This Is My Adventure .online (the "Service") is owned and operated by CohnReznick Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06008574, with its registered office at 65 London Wall, London, England, EC2M 5TU ("we", "us", "our").
CohnReznick Ltd is the data controller of the personal information described in this policy. To contact us about anything in this policy, email privacy@thisismyadventure.online or write to our registered office address above, marked for the attention of the Data Privacy Manager.
2. This is a service for grown-ups
Accounts are for adults. You must be 18 or over to create one. You use the Service to make a book for a child; the child does not use the Service themselves. As the account holder you are responsible for the details you choose to include about your child and anyone else you add to the story, and for having permission to include them.
3. The information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address and password (stored in hashed form) when you create an account.
Story content. The details you tell us for the adventure — the child's first name and age, their favourite things, the people, pets and places in the story, and any edits you make to the book and its illustrations.
Order information. If you order a printed book, we collect your delivery address and order details. Payment is handled by a regulated payment processor; we do not store your full card details.
Technical information. Standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and the cookies described in section 8.
Correspondence. Messages you send us via the contact form or by email.
4. How we use it, and our lawful bases
Providing the Service — creating your account, running the interview, generating the story and its illustrations, storing your book, and fulfilling print orders. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
AI processing. Your answers are processed by artificial-intelligence systems to write the story and generate the illustrations. We do not permit our AI providers to use your content to train their models. Lawful basis: performance of our contract.
Service communications — emails about your account, security, and responses to your enquiries. Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interests.
Keeping the Service safe and improving it — security monitoring, debugging, and aggregate (non-identifying) analysis. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We keep the details about your child to the minimum needed to make the book — a first name and age, not a full identity — and we never use your story content for advertising, nor sell it.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it: cloud hosting and storage providers; AI infrastructure providers (for the story and illustrations); our payment processor; our print and bindery partners (who receive your book content and delivery address only when you place a print order); and email delivery providers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell your personal information, and we never share your story with advertisers.
6. How long we keep it
Your book and account information are kept for as long as you keep your account. If you delete content it is removed from live systems promptly and from backups within 90 days. If you delete your account, your books are deleted on the same schedule. Order and correspondence records are kept as long as needed for legal and accounting purposes (normally six years).
7. Your rights
You have the right to: access the personal information we hold; have inaccurate information corrected; have your information erased; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your content in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis. To exercise any right, use your account settings or contact privacy@thisismyadventure.online. We respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
8. Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in, remember your cookie choice, and keep the site secure; they are set without consent, as permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Preference and analytics cookies are set only with your consent; our analytics is first-party (the data goes only to our own servers, never a third-party provider). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
9. Security & changes
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review of our providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password. If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email or a prominent notice on the Service before they take effect.
